Frequently asked questions
Does a field note mean the mod is safe or official?
No. These are community reports about particular setups, not official endorsements or guarantees. Back up saves and verify one small change in your own game.
Can I use this tool for online games?
These guides support single-player modding of games you own. Online modes are out of scope, including for games listed here that also have online modes.
How often is the lookup updated?
This snapshot’s newest note is dated 2026-10-17. We refresh periodically; this page reads a saved index and does not fetch live results.
What if my game is not listed?
No field note means no report in this snapshot, rather than proof that modding is impossible. The README describes recon for any game: identify its engine, search prior work and choose a route before building.
Where does the data come from?
The MIT-licensed Universal Modder knowledge base supplies the note titles, dates, routes, engines and contributor statuses. Mashup notes count for both the primary game and games_also entries.
